Reference 99NEC 250-30(a)(1)ex1, 32(b)1 in principle, 310-4, and 347-4ex3 2) Conductor lengths for fault calculations are incorrect. See cable lengths for F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, and F12. As a result the fault levels are higher than calculated and the panels are not properly braced. 3) The refrigeration panel must be rated 75,100 amps when protected by the fuses specified. Please note this series rating requirement on the plan. See keynote 18. See 99NEC 90-7,110-3(a)(b), 110-9, 110-10, 110-22, 240-86(a)(b). 4) The main bonding jumper keyed note 4 must be a minimum of 600kcmil. Reference 99NEC 250-28(d). 5) Keynote 19 should reference 99NEC 250-104(d). Keynote 3 should reference 99NEC 250-104. 6) Although the # 4 ufer grounding electrode meets code requirements it appears to me that perhaps a larger conductor should be utilized. I realize that in a ground fault the majority of the current will be carried by the neutral back to the transformer. However given the fact that we live in an area prone to lightning strikes it would seem prudent to prepare for a strike that could reach a magnitude of a 110kA. E2.2 AND E3.5 1) Detail 7 and 9 indicate 12" slack wires which is incorrect. In addition the reference to the UBC is incorrect. Reference the 99NEC 410-16 (c) as amended by the City of Tucson. E3.1 1) Panel BK appears to be mounted over a shelf. Col F6-F8. Reference 99NEC 110-26 2) The duct configuration described at column E6 does not match detail 4 on page E3.3. Page 2 of 3 3) Add a note to the plan to read "PROVIDE A DISCONNECT FOR ALL APPLIANCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH 99NEC 422 PART C." 4) Circuit R2-6 serves bath receptacles on column E3 through F3 however the circuit is not in the panel. 5) Keynote 31 on column C7 through C10 appears incorrect. The circuit serves roll up gates. One line keynote 18 which serves 6) Add a note to the plan to read "PROVIDE A DISCONNECT WITH FUSES SIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER WITHIN SIGHT OF EVERY MOTOR CONTROLLER. See column B to C, 10 to 114. Provide overload protection and horsepower rated disconnects in accordance with 99NEC 430. In addition MA 1,3,5 page E4.1 is served by a 35 amp circuit breaker however no wire size is specified. Provide 99NEC article 400 justification for cord drop and receptacle connections for what appears to be fixed (not portable) equipment. E3.1.1 1) Provide fused disconnects for TF1 on column F16, EF6 on column F2, Deli box fan coil on column F1, and TF2 on column C2. As an option you may reduce the circuit breakers to 15 amp in the panels and provide motor bulletin switches with overload heaters. Reference 99 NEC 430 part C and J 2) Circuit CF1-20 on column C14 appears to be incorrect perhaps it should be circuit 40. 3) Circuit R3-26,28,30 serving AC-3 is incorrect, perhaps it should be DA-26,28,30 4) Provide a fused disconnect for FF1 on column A7. See 99NEC 430 Part C, E, and J. 5) Circuit R1-7 does not serve the hot water tank on column C5. 6) The 20 amp circuit breaker (CF2-5) serving fans in the Dairy Case must be reduced to 15 amp in order to provide proper short circuit protection. See 99NEC 430 Part E 7) Provide a fused disconnect for AC4 on column A7 or comply with 99NEC 440 Part G. 8) Provide a fused disconnect for UH1 on column A5. See 99NEC 430 Part C, E, and J. 9) Provide a circuit and fused disconnect for EF-12 or provide a Motor Bulletin switch and a 15 amp circuit breaker. See column B5 to C5.
