03/05/2001 RANDY SCHULER ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied ED.1
1) Clarify the intent of the hexagon with a 1.3 inside it.
E2.1
1) It appears circuits E-13,15,17 and E-7,9,11 should circuit to panel G.
2) The 99NEC 424-3(a) will allow a maximum 30 amp circuit when serving more than 1 heater. In addition the 99NEC 424-3(b) requires the circuit (including motors) to be rated at 125%. Thus E-20,22,24…E-7,9,11… E-13,15,17…H-2,4,6… H-1,3,5 are loaded beyond 30amps. The loads at 125% for E-2,4,6…E-14,16,18 are greater than 20 amps and H-7,9,11 and H13,15,17 are greater than 40 amps. Reference sheet E-8.1.
3) The exam and therapy rooms are required to comply with 99NEC 517-13.
4) The disconnects protecting the TU's should be specified. The 99NEC 424-3(b) requires the overcurrent device to rated a minimum of 125% of the load of heaters and motors.
5) Circuit F-31,36 serving the pottery wheels is incorrect it should be F-32,34,31.
6) The 99NEC 210-63 requires a GFI maintenance receptacle to be placed within 25' of the HVAC equipment.
7) The reference to the service meter location appears incorrect.
8) Page E8.1 indicates circuit E-3 serves EF2 however it is not circuited to E-3 on page E2.1.
E2.2
1) Circuit E-29 is overloaded. Approximately 23.3 amps at 125%.
2) Circuit E-27 is used twice (receptacles page E2.1 and lights page E2.2).
3) Circuit E-25 is used twice (receptacles page E2.1 and lights page E2.2).
4) There are 3 C fixtures in the reception area appear to be connected to the wrong circuit. It appears the correct circuit is E-23.
5) The keynotes on the page do not coincide with the keynote legend.
6) The canopies are perforated metal allowing for 23% open area therefore the P fixtures cannot be directed upward. See page A4.2 detail 13.

E8.1
1) Circuit F-25,27 requires a minimum #6 cu.
2) Panel E load is approximately 235 amps however is rated 200 amps and is served by a 200 amp circuit.
3) Circuit H-26 appears in panel however the circuit is not called out on detail 4 on page E2.2.
GENERAL COMMENTS
1) Provide specifications.
2) Provide model energy calculations.
3) Provide fault current analysis. All of the equipment bracing appears correct with the exception of Panel E. Due to comment E8.1 #2 the feeder will have to be increased in size thus the 14k bracing is not adequate.
4) Provide fixture cuts and catalog numbers for exterior lights.
5) The scale page E.1 does not appear correct.
6) Please include the plans I have already reviewed along with your next submission. They are highlighted with yellow marker.
