05/30/2001 TOM WEIDEMAN ENGINEERING REVIEW Denied COMMENTS:

The site plan and drainage report have been reviewed and rejected - see comments below.

Please address the following comments on the site plan:

1. Provide cut and fill quantities. (D.S. 2-02.2.1.17)
2. Call out six-foot sidewalk width required along Wilmot Rd. ( City Mgr. Directive)
3. Provide the following basin maintenance statement on the plans:

The Responsibility of Maintaining Local Detention/Retention Basins and Drainage Facilities Rests with the property owners per Sec. 1.5 and 14.3 of the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Engineering Division Standards Manual for Drainage Design and Floodplain Management, December 1989.

4. The plans should not show bleed off connection between the basins as this condition is not supported in the drainage report. Please make the appropriate corrections.
5. Provide cross-sections of the retention basins. Call out appropriate elevations including WSE's.(2.3.1.6)
6. A minimum 15' width maintenance access ramp at a maximum 15% slope is required for each basin. Call out the ramps on the plans and provide a cross-section of the ramps including elevation and slopes.(2.3.1.6)
7. Provide appropriate cross-sections and construction details for the inlet and outlet weirs including rip-rap protection and elevations in lieu of the general sections shown on sheet 3.
8. The elevations shown on the proposed drainage map, sheet 3, do not reflect the drainage patterns associated with each separate drainage basin. Provide appropriate elevations that demonstrate drainage to the respective basins.

Please address the following comments in a Drainage Report Addendum:

1. Provide a long term maintenance responsibility statement (SMDDFM 2.3.1.2.E)
2. Bleed off of the required retention volumes of the basins will not be allowed unless it is demonstrated that required percolation of the basins cannot be provided. Percolation tests of the basins will be required upon re-submittal of the plans. Please amend the drainage report accordingly.(Detention/Retention Manual 2.2)
3. Although total offsite flow has been decreased, there is an increase in offsite flow at the two existing discharge points, which must be decreased to existing flow quantities or less. Please make the necessary corrections to the drainage pattern and the plans.

A review fee of $150 will be collected prior to the next review.

Items Required: Drainage Addendum, Percolation test results and Revised Site Plan
Re-submittal Required: Yes
