The proposal is to change the zoning from C-3 / I-1 to Planned Area Development (PAD). The submitted materials state that centralized solid waste and recycle service will be provided on-site. Efforts will be made to minimize noise, odor and vibration from the container handling and servicing on the subject parcel. No further information was provided regarding the details of the waste management plan for this site. The conceptual solid waste plans proposed for the Welcome Broadway parcel comply with technical standards for waste management established by the City of Tucson. Therefore, the Environmental & General Services Department has no objective to the proposed rezoning of the Welcome Broadway property.
