| 08/12/2020 | SBEASLE1 | ENV SVCS | REVIEW | Denied | The following is ES response to TSMR 8-01.9.0, figure 1 and figure 3A. Thoroughbred Pre-owned Vehicles. 1. The proposed modifications create additional obstruction by adding a 6" x 2" x 1/8" steel tubing welded to provide support/reinforcement to 3" bollards at the rear and side wall protection. The side reinforcement creates the greater conflict for the user by reducing the maneuvering ability/spacing between the CMU wall and trash/recycle dumpsters. 2. Also, the additional welded steel tubing introduces the potential for damage/broken welds which result in reduced strength/support and therefore increased maintenance or potential wall damage. 3. The proposed modifications noted, although potentially adequate, reduces safe user access and adds more opportunity for failure and maintenance. That being said ES would approve the proposed TSMR under the condition of a signed letter by an authorized Thoroughbred representative accepting the modifications and understanding the potential shortfalls noted above.
