09/20/2018 | KLEE1 | ENV SVCS | REVIEW | Passed | Kelly, Sorry about the late response on this submittal. Cypress Civil Development (Cypress) requested a Technical Standard Modification Request (TSMR) for a proposed refuse truck back up length of 71 feet while servicing the waste enclosure located at the northwest corner of the Breakmasters property. I discussed this TSMR with Elliott Wheaton of Cypress. Section 8 of the Technical Standards Manual allows for a maximum back up distance for the refuse vehicle of 80 feet. Elliot concluded that there was a misunderstanding by Cypress about the back up distance requirement and that a TSMR was not required. Environmental & General Services agrees with this conclusion. Therefore, I suggest that we include this email (or similar language) in the file for this site providing this explanation of the TSMR review. Please let me know if there are any questions concerning this review. Tom Ryan, P. E. City of Tucson - Environmental & General Services Department |
