07/20/2018 AHINES2 ENV SVCS REVIEW Approved I reviewed the proposed solid waste management plans for the Count of Monte Vista residential subdivision with Pat Tapia.

The applicant is asking for a Technical Standard Modification Request (TSMR) due to the approximate 128 foot back-up distance from the enclosure proposed to be located at the east end of the east - west road in the residential subdivision. The approximate 128 foot back-up distance is greater than the desired maximum back-up distance for refuse vehicles of 80 feet. In addition to this back-up distance, the refuse vehicle must back onto the north - south road adjacent to the parking spaces at the intersection of the two roads.

We evaluated the possibility relocating the enclosure within the residential subdivision. One alternative we looked at was to locate the enclosure at the south end of the north - south road. There did not appear to be enough room given the current layout of the residential lots, roads and parking spaces to position the enclosure at this location. An enclosure at this location may interfere with traffic and access for Lot No. 9. Another alternative is to locate the enclosure in the parking area to the north of Lots 18 through 22. However, this alternative would require the elimination of several parking spaces which probably would not be desired by the developer.

As there does not appear to be any feasible alternatives for the location of the enclosure, Environmental & General Services Department approves the TSMR for the Count of Monte Vista residential subdivision.

Please contact me if there are any questions concerning this review.

07/31/2018 ALEXANDRA HINES ZONING-DECISION LETTER WRITE DECISION LETTER Approv-Cond The TSMR was approved on 7/31/2018. Add the case number, DS18-14, in the lower right hand corner next to the title block on each sheet of the development package. Add a general note that includes the case number, type of request, date of approval, and modifications granted to the development package.

The TSMR application and reference sheet went to records. There is nothing for the applicant to pick up.
