After discussion with Staff the following is not supported at this time and must be addressed based on the DS 2-08 pedestrian standards as listed in the development standards manual. a. DS 2-08.4.1 (sidewalk Separation) - The sidewalk separation or striped sections within the vehicular use areas (between parking spaces) that have been identified on the DSMR plan sheets can be supported with the exception of three locations. The locations are noted as the striped area adjacent or next to lot 44, the striped space between lot 11 and lot 13, the striped area between lot 20 and lot 22. In the case of the area between lot 20 and 22 the sidewalk can be extended to connect the two sidewalks. These three areas must be constructed with concrete in order to connect to the concrete sidewalks. b. DS 2-08.5.1.C (Sidewalk Composition) - This DSMR request cannot be supported. The proposal to have DG as a pedestrian access that will also be used as an accessible route cannot be supported. The proposed information related to the manner of application for the DG material has been reviewed and approved by the Engineering Administrator Jim Vogelsberg. Based on his review and determination of the proposed product and application this material is not considered to be of equal or same hardness or durability to be considered as a viable or alternative material. This DSMR request is denied. 2. DS 3-01.4.1.1.b - (Width of the sidewalk within the Tanque Verde Right of Way) Zoning will support the DSMR request contingent upon approval by the COT Transportation Department. 3. DS 6-01.4.2 - (Enclosure and Bin Construction) Zoning will support the DSMR request contingent upon approval by the Environmental Services Department. 4. DS 10-01.11.2.2 - (Threshold Retention) Zoning will support the DSMR request contingent upon approval by the PDSD Engineering / Floodplain Section.
