| 01/10/2008 | DAVID RIVERA | ZONING | REVIEW | Denied | CDRC TRANSMITTAL FROM: Terry Stevens Lead Planner DSD Zoning Review Section PROJECT: DSMR-DS07-57 3801 N. 1st Ave. Development Standard Modification (DSMR) Request Transmittal date: 1/10/08 COMMENTS: Denied 1. Zoning cannot support this DSMR in regards to the installation of wedge curb as provided in the submittal . 2. Zoning would be able to support wedge curb installed in front of the garages only with vertical curb being provided at all other locations. 3. Zoning is able to support the reduction in sidewalk width to 4' and the sidewalk being adjacent to the curb if vertical curb is installed. 4. A revised Tentative Plat will be required. Provide street cross section detail or details, what the DSMR is for, date of approval and any conditions of approval. If you have any questions about this transmittal, please call Terry Stevens, (520) 837-4961. |
| 01/11/2008 | MATT FLICK | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Approved | DSD Engineering has no objection to granting a DSMR for the following: 1' shy space at rear of sidewalk (DS 3-01.2.7.B) Wedge curb in lieu of vertical curb (DS 3-01.3.2.B.2.b) 4' sidewalk (DS 3-01 - Fig. 1) |
| 01/15/2008 | FRODRIG2 | COMMUNITY PLANNING | REVIEW | Denied | DUPD staff recommends denial of the DSMR request to reduce the only on-site pedestrian circulation side walk system from the standard width of five feet wide with vertical curb to four feet wide with wedge curb, on lots 1 through 25, for the Lofts at Villa Savonna. The Lofts at Villa Savonna is an RCP. Pedestrian circulation and linkages are key parts of any RCP and adopted land use policy. The proposed wedge curb combined with the street width and housing unit set back encourages illegal street parking that will directly impact safe pedestrian circulation.
