The Department of Transportation and Mobility supports a shortening of the sidewalk segment on Irvington Rd but not a complete deletion. See comments from John Van Winkle which were emailed to Corey Thompson: "We understand the difficulty from either moving the path down to parallel to the bike lane, or in turn crossing the wash. The issues outweigh the solutions at this point. We still need a pedestrian amenity along E Irvington Rd. We will support terminating the path early before it crosses the wash, with a turn around area and some signage marking end of path/trail." Please contact Richard.Leigh@tucsonaz.gov with questions regarding comments from John. Please revise the DP to show the adjusted sidewalk.
