| 10/25/2021 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | An approved two-way cleanout fitting is a listed single fitting and is located at the junction of the building drain and the building sewer. The junction of the building sewer is defined as being 30-inches in developed length beyond the exterior wall of a structure. To my knowledge, no two-way cleanout fitting is manufactured for use at a 90-degree, or 45-degree junction as shown for building #1 and CO#3 for building #2. Additionally, nothing in the plumbing code requires the installation of a two-way cleanout. Reference: Sections 202, 708.1.3, and 708.1.8, IPC 2018. |
