| 02/12/2020 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Measuring along the developed pipe length means that the vertical portions of the pipe must be included in the maximum distance between cleanouts. The 100-foot section of building sewer shown on the private utility plan has a developed length of 104.9-feet. Revise the cleanout locations to limit the distance between cleanouts to a maximum of 100-feet of developed length. [Initial comment: The maximum distance between cleanouts shall be 100-feet, measured along the developed pipe length. Reference: Section 708.1.1, IPC 2018.] |
| 02/14/2020 | JOHN VAN WINKLE | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Reqs Change | DP19-0274 1) Previous comment 6. A bleed pipe is only needed if the retention basin has excessive infiltration times. In this case it is shown that the basin has an adequate infiltration rate so as to not have standing water. The bleed pipe is not needed. Please update the detail to either remove the bleed pipe or show a cap at the uphill side that can be used for maintenance purposes if needed. Please reference the last paragraph in section 2.2 of the Stormwater Detention/Retention Manual 2) In lieu of a separate grade control marker please indicate if the top of the cutoff wall located in detail M on sheet 5 is an acceptable location for reference when a basin inspection occurs. It is understood that this has not previously been enforced however in an effort to better inspect and maintain the approximately 1400 basins within the City Limits it is asked that that this requirement be accounted for 3) Engineering can conduct an expedited electronic review once the above comments are addressed. Please email to schedule John Van Winkle, P.E. John.VanWinkle@tucsonaz.gov |
