10/18/2019 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | A note stating that the residential units (2nd story and above) will not discharge through the backwater valve was not found on the utility sheet. Note that any plumbing fixture located on a floor more than 12" above the next upstream manhole rim may not discharge through a backwater valve (i.e. fixtures located on floors higher than 96.94'). [Initial comment: The rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole (2395.94') is less than 12" below the first floor elevations (2396.35', 2396.50', and 2396.80'). Provide a note on the plans requiring the installation of a backwater valve when future plumbing activities take place. Note also that floors discharging from above 2396.94' shall not discharge through the backwater valve. Reference: Section 714.1, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson.] |
