Dear Ms. Beasley:
SUBJECT: Jewish Comm. Ctr, DP19-0102
Tucson Electric Power Company (TEP) has reviewed and approved the development plan submitted
April 30, 2019. It appears that there are no conflicts with the existing facilities within the boundaries of this proposed development.
The Development Plan show a small building being built by the existing tennis courts on the campus of the JCC property. TEP doesn't have facilities in this area. Note 4 of Page 6 of the site plans, indicates "New Electrical by Others". This is not clear if it is intended to be served from customer's side. Service will need to be fed from the existing service.
Because TEP is already serving this address from an existing 3Ø pad mount transformer TJC-3, any additional facilites or services that may be requested, would be billable to the customer (Excess Facilities).
Even though these items will need to be addressed by the customer, the Development Plan will be approved. The approval is due to the fact it doesn't show, nor do we have TEP facilities in the area of the new building.
Enclosed is a copy of a TEP facilities map showing the approximate location of the existing facilities. Any relocation costs will be billable to the customer.
If TEP is needed, please call the New Construction Department at (520) 918-8300. Approved plans will be required (including a site plan, electrical load plans, and electrical one line).
If easements are required, they will be secured by separate instrument. Your final plans should be sent to:
