03/20/2020 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. The first floor elevations have been provided but nothing indicates which units need a backwater valve. The site plan shows the building sewer connecting to the 21" public sewer located in Hedrick Drive. Unless there is an existing HCS, it is doubtful that Pima County would allow you to connect to that sewer. If there is an existing HCS, the upstream manhole has a rim elevation of approximately 2380 feet which means that the first floor of each unit will require a backwater valve. The waste from the second-story units may not pass through a backwater valve. [Initial comment: Provide the first floor elevation for each building. Where the finish floor elevation is less than 12 inches above the elevation of the next upstream manhole in the public sewer system, a backwater valve shall be installed in the building drain or branch of the building drain serving that floor. Floors discharging from above that reference point shall not discharge through the backwater valve. Reference: Section 715.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.] 2. Comment not addressed. [Initial comment: Determine the design daily sewer flow for the development.] |
