04/20/2020 | NROSS1 | DESIGN PROFESSIONAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | The subject property is a contributing resource located within the West University Historic Zone and as such subject to review and approval by West University Historic Zone Advisory Board (WUHZAB) and the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission Plans Review Subcommittee (PRS). A decision letter dated October 11, 2017 was sent approving the project as it was presented. Since the approval, the project was been modified to move the walk-in freezer and refrigerator outside of the proposed building. This modification would typically require another review by WUHZAB and PRS to ensure consistency the WUHZ Design Guidelines and the US Secretary of the Interior’s Standards (Standards). Due to COVID-19, the WUHZAB and PRS are not able to meet. In lieu of their review, the Historic Preservation Officer has reviewed the plans and determined that the proposed work is in keeping with the proposed design and can be deemed consistent with the Standards. Any future modifications to the proposed building will require review and a recommendation by WUHZAB and PRS. Thanks!
