The following review comments are provided to detail the changes required on the plans and documents submitted to PDSD prior to the Design professional recommending approval of this project.

The review is based upon our review of electronic copies of second (2nd) submittal of the Development Packages DP16-0220 and DP16-0221 and paper copies of the Architectural Variation Plan (AVP), Privacy Mitigation Plan (PMP) and PMP Addendum A "Solar Access" for Mountain Vail, Part B and Part 1 for compliance with Unified Development Code (UDC) Section 8.7.3 M: Design Criteria

Design Criteria

1. Architectural Variation
Approve. An Architectural Variation Plan (AVP) demonstrating compliance with the requirements of UDC Section 8.7.3.M.1.d.1 has been prepared in accordance with UDC Section 2-06.5.3.E.

2. Transition Edge Treatment and Mitigation for Adjacent Properties
Approve. Addendum A "Solar Access" has been amended to the Privacy Mitigation Plan (PMP) which adequately demonstrates compliance with UDC Section 8.7.3.M.2.b "solar access".

3. Solar Access and Passive Solar
Approve. Addendum A "Solar Access" has been amended to the Privacy Mitigation Plan (PMP) which indicates in the PMP that the use of solar energy collectors is permitted and it adequately addresses the requirement to mitigate the effect of shadows cast from the proposed multistory structures onto adjacent properties in accordance with UDC Section 7.3.1 and 7.3.2.

4. Alternative Compliance.
No Comment. No Alternative Compliance requests were submitted for consideration.
