| 10/27/2016 | PGEHLEN1 | COT NON-DSD | ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES | Reqs Change | Trish, The City of Tucson - Environmental Services Department has completed our review of the revised Development Plan for the 7th Avenue Commons project. The solid waste compactor is now located on the south side of the parking area access lane in the west parking lot area. The compactor proposed for this site is the "Mini-MAC Apartment Compactor" manufactured by the Marathon Equipment Company. This compactor has a 2 cubic yard compaction container which is mounted on casters. The casters allow the compaction container to be moved to the container pick-up area. The container pick-up area, as shown on Figure 4 of 25 of the Development Plans, would be along Echols Avenue to the immediate east of the parking lot area. Therefore, the vehicle servicing the compactor would not have to enter the parking lot area. This proposed location of the compactor is acceptable and would be approved by Environmental Services. Before final approval of this waste management plan, the waste generation calculations and the proposed frequency of servicing of the compactor would have to be reviewed by Environmental Services. Please let me know if there are any questions concerning this review. Tom Ryan City of Tucson - Environmental Services Department |
