The following 10 conditions apply to this permit DP13-0229:
1) Floodplain use permit (T14OT00626) shall be issued with copy of geotechnical/soils report for proposed excavations: S3-01 S3-2, and S3-04, prior to grading permit issuance.
2) Call for Pre-construction meeting. For a PDSD Engineering Inspection, call IVR (740-6970), or schedule with a Customer Service Representative at the Planning & Development Services Department, or contact PDSD Engineering at 837-4888, or schedule inspections online at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Online_Services/Online_Permits/online_permits.html
3) PDSD Inspector should inspect stockpile access area (and associated fencing) to the stockpile, temporary controls, stockpile location, and later stockpile height, at minimum. Discuss inspections with Inspector at Pre-con meeting at the site.
4) At time of SWPPP control installation, fencing will be required to be set up along both sides of access to stockpile area from Camino Boleadoras along Vuelta De Ocho Rios. SWPPP controls to minimize contaminant distribution shall be provided and updated by Operator with guidance from Soils/Geotechnical Engineer.
5) Copy of approved plan/permit DP13-0229 shall be kept at site at all times until final grading approval.
6) These sets of plans act as the approved final grading plans (sealed by David Little, P.E.) for La Estancia stockpile permit - all proposed excavations as shown on plans including excavations: S3-01 S3-2, and S3-04 (which are covered under a floodplain use permit).
7) Only the following additional disturbance may occur beyond the areas depicted on the approved plan; these areas include: one access area to the stockpile permit and associated limited access to remediation areas as determined only by soils/geotechnical engineer. There shall be no disturbance outside of the disturbance/grading limits as shown on approved grading plans. Disturbance outside these limits may result in Stop Work Order, fines, and / or require revised plan submittal & review.
8) If grading construction is expected to last longer than the expiration date of the grading permit, contact PDSD to renew/extend the Grading Permit. If Final Grading Inspection has not been completed before the Grading Permit expires, and the permit has not been renewed, additional fees and reviews may be required.
9) Revisions to the proposed work must be discussed with a Civil Engineer at the City of Tucson Planning & Development Services Department Engineering Division, prior to any changes in construction activity, to determine whether additional details, calculations, drainage report, or a revised grading plan is needed. All work completed without approval is subject to Stop Work Order.
10) If imminent storm event is expected, EOR shall provide design for floodplain crossings to be immediately installed and inspected.
11) A copy of field reports and letters of certification from Soils/geotechnical Engineer of Record for project substantial completion is required to be submitted prior to final grading inspection.
