SUMMARY: PDSD Engineering Division has reviewed the plan set and does not recommend approval until the following comments are addressed. This project involves an additional treatment facility to be built at an existing Tucson Water treatment site. Meetings were held to discuss project 29JUN12, 16JUL12. This project falls under exemption 26-4(2) & (3) of the Floodplain Ordinance and is exempt from Riparian Floodplain Report requirements. Proposed new building and equipment are to be elevated to a minimum of Regulatory Flood Elevations. A floodplain use permit and elevation certificates will be generated.

COMMENTS:
1) Tuc Code Sec.26-11.2(b): Address the following comments:
A) The package had an old design layout so sheets C-1, detail sheet(s), and Site Plan sheet need to be updated to reflect revised, pending resubmittal of revised drainage report as discussed in meeting 16JUL12.
B) Show channel details on C-1 or detail sheet(s). Provide cross sections, dimensions on planviews, and details for the typical channel section, entrance and outlet areas of the channel, existing outlet structure on planview, and other details/sections sufficient for construction and inspections.
C) Provide documentation from Pima County allowing the improvement if within Pima County jurisdiction for park or other requirement.
D) Show parcel limits on Site Plan and Grading Plan.
E) Any proposed easements that are located outside of the parcel limits, for drainage construction and maintenance, access easement, and/or landscape easement on Block 1, shall be shown and labeled with sequence number or dkt/pg.
F) Resubmit 2 copies of Grading and site plans with floodplain use permit application, 2 copies of the revised drainage report and response letter.
