The proposed sewer collection lines to serve the above-referenced project have been reviewed on behalf of the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) and the Pima County Wastewater Management Department (PCWMD). This review letter may contain comments pertaining to the concerns of either Department. The following comments are offered for your use.


SHEET 1. Revise General Note 44 as follows and fill in the blanks appropriately. It is highly unlikely that El Con Mall has 85 existing wastewater fixture unit equivalents. The purpose of this note is to keep an accurate count of all existing and all proposed wastewater fixture unit equivalents within El Con Mall.

THIS PROJECT HAS ____ PROPOSED AND ____ EXISTING WASTEWATER FIXTURE UNIT EQUIVALENTS, PER TABLE 13.20.045(E)(1) IN PIMA COUNTY CODE 13.20.045(E).

SHEET SP 1.7. As previously requested on May 23, 2006, the sewer layout shown on this sheet shall be such that streets, PAALs, buildings and landscaped areas are all shown as well, in order to verify accurate geographical location of sewer lines and geographical position of these in relation to the proposed project. Revise accordingly.

SHEETS SP 1.4, SP 1.5 & SP 1.7. Revise the sewer layout on this sheet so that the proposed private sewers and the existing public sewers match the symbols defined on sheet SP 1.3.

We will require a revised set of drawings and a response letter addressing each comment. Additional comments may be made during the review of these documents.

The next submittal of this project will be the 3rd submittal. A check for the review fee of this submittal in the amount of $117.00 made out to PIMA COUNTY TREASURER must accompany the revised set of bluelines and response letter.

Please note the following: Approval of the above referenced submittal does not authorize the construction of public or private sewer collection lines, or water distribution lines. Prior to the construction of such features, a Construction Authorization (Approval To Construct) may need to be obtained from the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality.

Also, air quality activity permits must be secured by the developer or prime contractor from the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality before constructing, operating or engaging in an activity which may cause or contribute to air pollution.
