The proposed sewer collection lines to serve the above-referenced project have been reviewed on behalf of the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) and the Pima County Wastewater Management Department (PCWMD). This review letter may contain comments pertaining to the concerns of either Department. The following comments are offered for your use.

The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality and the Wastewater Management Department hereby approve the above referenced submittal of the Development Plan as received by us on October 31, 2006.

Please note the following: Approval of the above referenced submittal does not authorize the construction of public or private sewer collection lines, or water distribution lines. Prior to the construction of such features, a Construction Authorization (Approval to Construct) may need to be obtained from the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality.

Also, air quality activity permits must be secured by the developer or prime contractor from the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality before constructing, operating, or engaging in any activity which may cause or contribute to air pollution.

11/28/2006 JOE LINVILLE LANDSCAPE REVIEW Denied 1) Revise the landscape plans to locate canopy trees within the street landscape border. The trees are required to be planted on the property or in portions of the right-of-way approved by the City Engineer for code required landscaping.

2) Fences or walls constructed in a single continuous line shall extend into a street landscape border no more than the actual width of the fence or wall. LUC 3.7.3.2
Revise the plans to locate any screen walls behind or at the back of the street landscape border. The proposed locations are accepatble only if the City Engineer grants approval of use of the public right-of-way for landscaping.

3) Landscape borders proposed in right-of-way or MS&R areas must be approved by the City Engineer or designee and comply with the City Engineer's requirements on construction, irrigation, location, and plant type. Provide verification, in writing, of any approvals obtained. Contact Gary Wittwer, DOT Landscape Architect for specific requirements.

4) Vegetation or structures higher than thirty (30) inches that interfere must be located outside of the sight visibility triangle (svt). Plant materials located within SVT's should consist of ground cover or low-growing vegetation of a species that will not grow higher than (30) inches. None of the shrubs proposed in the Ajo Way landscape border are acceptable in the sight visibility triangle due to size. Revise the planting plan for Ajo Way and Pandora Avenue. LUC 3.7.2.8
