The proposed sewer collection lines to serve the above-referenced project have been reviewed on behalf of the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) and the Pima County Wastewater Management Department (PCWMD). This review letter may contain comments pertaining to the concerns of either Department. The following comments are offered for your use.

This project will be tributary to the Ina Road Water Pollution Control Facility via the South Rillito West (South Line) Interceptor. Provide a letter from PCWWM Planning Services, written within the past 90 days, stating that treatment and conveyance system capacity for this project is available. Contact Robert Decker, PCWWM Planning Services, at (520) 740-6625 regarding this matter.

Based on our evaluation, this project would qualify for Participating sewer connection fee rates.

Add the project number, D04-025, to the title block of each sheet. This number should be shown larger or bolder than any cross-reference numbers.

Add reference project number C9-95-20 in the title block.

Add the following notes

A PROJECT CONSTRUCTION PERMIT MUST BE SECURED FROM PIMA COUNTY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK ON THIS PROJECT.

ON-SITE SANITARY SEWERS WILL BE PRIVATE AND WILL BE CONSTRUCTED, OPERATED AND MAINTAINED ON A PRIVATE BASIS. THE LOCATION AND METHOD OF CONNECTION TO AN EXISTING PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER IS SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY THE PIMA COUNTY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AT THE TIME OF SUBMITTAL OF PLUMBING OR BUILDING PLANS.

Include the number of proposed fixture units. Based on this number a Sewer Service Agreement may be required.

Show the connection of the HCS to the public sewer line.

Provide a legend which shows symbols for whichever of the following apply and use those symbols in the layout.
- Existing public sewers
- Existing private sewers
- Proposed private sewers

We will require a revised set of bluelines, and a response letter, addressing these comments. Additional comments may be made during the review of these documents.

County Ordinance 2003-29 went into effect on April 11, 2003. This ordinance requires that a wastewater review fee be paid for each submittal of the development plan. The fee for the first submittal is $166 plus $50 per sheet. For the second submittal, the review fee is $50 per sheet. For all subsequent submittals, the review fee is $39 per sheet.

The next submittal of this project will be the second (2nd) submittal. A check for the review fee of this submittal in the amount of $50.00 (made out to PIMA COUNTY TREASURER) must accompany the revised set of bluelines and response letter.

If the number of sheets changes, please adjust the review fee accordingly.

If you wish to discuss the above comments, please contact me at the phone number provided above, under my signature.

The comments in this letter supercede the comments made in Dickie Fernández's 06/22/04 review letter for this submittal of the development plan

This project will be tributary to the Ina Road Water Pollution Control Facility via the South Rillito West (South Line) Interceptor. Treatment and conveyance capacity for this project was committed during the earlier development of this property under development plan case number, C9-95-20. The additional flow from this project should not cause any flow or effluent limits to be violated.

Based on our evaluation, this project would qualify for Participating sewer connection fee rates.

Add the project number, D04-025, to the title block of each sheet. This number should be shown larger or bolder than any cross-reference numbers.

Add cross reference number C9-95-20 to the title block of each sheet.

Sheet 1: Add a General Note that states:

A PROJECT CONSTRUCTION PERMIT MUST BE SECURED FROM PIMA COUNTY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK ON THIS PROJECT.

Sheet 1: Add a General Note that states:

ON-SITE SANITARY SEWERS ARE EXISTING AND PRIVATE. NO NEW SEWER CONSTRUCTION IS PROPOSED.

Sheet 1: Add a General Note that states:

THIS PROJECT HAS _______ PROPOSED AND _______ EXISTING WASTEWATER FIXTURE UNIT EQUIVALENTS, PER TABLE 13.20.040(F)(1) IN PIMA COUNTY CODE 13.20.040(F).

Note: A formal Sewer Service Agreement for the project may be required when the total number of wastewater fixture unit equivalents exceeds 144.

Sheet 1: Show the House Connection Sewer (HCS) as EXISTING.

Sheet 1: The development must indicate where the HCS connects to the public sewer system. We would prefer that this connection be shown on the development plan, but in this one case, we will allow a label to be used. If the HCS connects to public sewer line, G-291, (and we understand that it probably does) the label might read,

CONNECTS TO G-291.

We will require a revised set of bluelines, and a response letter, addressing these comments. Additional comments may be made during the review of these documents.
