We have reviewed the above-referenced project on behalf of the Pima County Wastewater Management Department. The following comments are offered for your use:

1. Due to an extensive backlog of plans to review, we received the second submittal of the development plan, before we had reviewed the first submittal. The second submittal was reviewed in the first submittal’s place in our queue of plans to review. The following comments apply to the second submittal.

2. There is currently capacity in the existing downstream sewerage system for this development. This response is not to be construed as a commitment for conveyance capacity allocation, but rather an analysis of the existing sewerage system as of this date.

3. Based on the preliminary sewer layout as shown on the referenced development plan, this project would qualify for Non-Participating sewer connection fee rates.

4. The development plan is hereby approved, subject to the following:

5. Sheet 1: Delete General Note 13. This information is understood from S02-011.

6. Sheet 3 & 5: Revise the area of the trash compactor to what was shown on the first submittal of the development plan (i.e. slab on grad, and with no retaining walls or handrails) as stated in your 12/04/02 e-mail message to me.

7. Sheet 5: Show the plan number (G-2002-084) for the public sewer line on the west side of the building.

Please note that G-2002-084 has not yet been tested or accepted for use by PCWWM. No connection may be made to this sewer line, until after it has been tested and accepted for use by PCWWM.

8. Please contact Mr. Glen Hitz of the Pima County Wastewater Management (PCWWM) Department at 740-6547 to determine if written authorization from PCWWM is necessary to place the trash compactors within the public sewer easement.

If you wish to discuss the above comments, please contact me at 740-6563.
