I'm looking at purchasing a property at 231 W Illinois St, Tucson, AZ 85714 — Pima County APN 120-08-198. I'm trying to confirm whether the city has any record of this being a legal 2-unit / duplex property, or whether it's on file as single-family only. The county assessor's record shows it as 'Single Family Residence' with no separate duplex classification, but the property currently has two rented units. Can you check the zoning and permit history for this parcel and tell me whether a second dwelling unit is legally recognized here? And if it's not currently confirmed, what would it take to get that formally verified or legalized?
