| 05/06/2025 | Signs | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Application: 1) We cannot approve this permit until all building plans are paid for and issued. 2) Fill in red boxed items on Application. 3) Remove Sign J from application as it has been removed from sign package. 4) Add Contractor Contact name and move email to correct box. 5) Sign Application. Sign Drawing A B, C, & D 1) Change overall height to be to the top of the sign, not the bottom. Sign Drawing E 1) Sign is noted as being Channel Letters, but is actually a Sign Cabinet. Revise wording. 2) Change overall height to be to the top of the sign, not the bottom. Sign Drawing F &G 1) Directional Signs are limited to a max OAH of 3'. This sign exceeds that. Bring into compliance. Sign Drawing H & I 1) Electronic Message displays must have the following added to the drawings: No animation or scrolling is allowed. Image must stay on screen for at least One (1) minute before changing As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code the Electronic Message Center as shown on this page automatically dims to 200 NITS or less from sunset to sunrise. The EMC cannot interfere with FCC communications. We need the manufacturer of the EMC to sit down and write a letter to The City of Tucson that says the following and includes the address of the project and date... #1. Name of the manufacturer. #2. The EMC model number/name #3. This model is fully capable of lowering to 200 nits at night. #4. This model is FCC compliant. 2) Verify actual amperage on all signs with manufacturer. Amperage should be for entire sign, not individual components. 3) Need information on the center of the menu board as to what is being put there. Are there images going there? 4) Calculation for signage/sign area will be the entire area (see drawing) of sign, not individual components. Dimensions, applications and drawings all need to be updated. |
