This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. Provide/note disconnect per NEC art; 600.6. Where the disconnecting means is out of the line of sight from any section that is able to be energized, the disconnecting means shall be lockable in accordance with 110.25 2. Provide/note sign grounding and bonding per NEC art; 600.7. 3. Show or notate a dedicated sign circuit per NEC art 600.5. 4. Add the following verbiage to the sign sheets: All signs and power supply components are UL listed. All signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker, located on the exterior of the sign for inspections. All dedicated sign circuits shall be labeled. | 06/02/2025 | Signs Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Application: 1) Verify actual valuation of a 287 sq ft sign. $3500 is low for this size and type of signage. Sign Drawings: 1) Add photo of existing elevation. If existing signage is present, add a notation that such signage will be removed. 2) Add sign contractor information to each sheet (I.E. Pearson Signs). 3) All dimensions must bee in FEET.DECIMAL, not feet/inches. 4) Add a line indicating OAH from ground to top of sign. 5) Add the following verbiage, exactly: All signs and power supply components are UL listed. All signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker, located on the exterior of the sign for inspections. All dedicated sign circuits shall be labeled. A safety lock out shall be provided for all signs where the shut off switch is not directly visible to the sign. I.E. Masonry, wood with stucco, etc... 7) Specify the anchors used to hold the letters to the wall for all signage. 8) Page 6 shows LEDs being used that exceed the 4400K temp limit imposed by the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code. Bring this in to compliance. General Note: Typically we ask that the sign package is formatted a specific way as this provides uniformity for our sign reviewers and inspectors. I am emailing an example of how the sign package should be laid out. |
