Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC) 7A, Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson - Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018 1. I acknowledge the sign area and sign type (wall sign on raceway, with landlord permission document) is allowed and within permissible sign area. 2. The full plan set does not appear to be uploaded. Please check all your documents, as it appears some electrical and structural data is missing. Sign package is missing the standard lighting notations and the engineer's structural calculations. Also, a special inspection is needed for this package for mounting and staff is providing the form to the contractor to pass to the engineer for their review / stamp / appointment of inspection and qualified special inspector. Add these standard electrical notes: All components will be UL rated. All manufacturer, UL and installer stickers will be on the signs. A dedicated sign circuit will be provided and will be labeled at circuit breaker. Safety lock out to be provided where shut off switch is not visible to the sign. Timing device shall be provided and set to midnight shut off. Please email Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov once you have resubmitted, so staff can get the package back into review quickly for you. |
