UDC: A) sign plans indicate the sign is within an easement, which is not allowed without the easement holder's permission in writing. It appears. however, you have measured the sign setback from the back of the sidewalk. You may measure the sign setback from the face of the street curb, at a minimum of 20' from that street curb to the leading edge of the monument sign. This will allow you to move the sign further north and should be out of the easement. Please keep the sign on the site and not in right of way, and adjust the site plan and show the setback dimensioned fully for the review. The information provided thus far looks like this can be addressed. 2. NEC / OLC: A) add note that power for the sign to be run by others B) The OLC limits maximum internal illumination to 4400k during the day, this unit is listed at 6500k on the specs provided. Watchfire is known to this reviewer, and they carry units that will be within Tucson code to 4400k maximum setting of brightness during the day and then dims to 200Nits maximum brightness at night. Please consult them for clarifications and obtaining the unit or specifications you need to proceed. 3. IBC: A) I acknowledge the freestanding sign structure is under 80 square feet of surface area and does not require engineering. B) Provide a diagram showing the footer and pipe system for this sign. Please dimension the width and depth of the concrete area, label type of pipe and diameter. Please refer to standard ASA engineering for recommendations to assist you, since this sign structure is rather substantial. C) Provide a diagram showing the connections for the cabinets and skirting to the pipe. (i.e. typical saddle and bolts at top of each cabinet -and under bottom cabinet ? skirt with bolts and rivets?) D) Add note that field welds shall not be conducted without special inspection certificate sealed by and engineer and approved by the city. If you have any questions, please email me.
