No sign permit may be issued until the development package and building plans have been approved and permits issued for the use / building at this site. 2. General: a) Provide a City of Tucson business license and note number on the application form. If you need assistance, contact 520-791-4566. b) Revise plans to show signs as A, B, C, etc. to match the application document. c) Revise to show the plans in all decimal feet dimensions, not inches 3. UDC: a) Check and note the property line frontage for this development using the pending development package plan. b) Maximum sign area for all signs is a ratio of 3 square feet of sign area per each linear foot of street development frontage. Check that all sign area is compliant with revised frontage dimension. c) This sign structure exceeds the 50 square feet of cabinet area allowed for a monument sign, redesign. Or – the cabinet area may be 72 sqft in area with a 30’ setback from face of street curb. d) Professional site plan required with submittal of the sign, to show easements, lot lines, driveways, sight visibility triangles, sign setback to from leading edge of sign to face of street curb. 4. NEC / OLC: a) Note that each sign shall shut off at midnight curfew (501.5,OLC) b) Add note on plans that dedicated sign circuits shall be labeled at breaker panel c) Add note that the digital message center may change message a maximum rate of 1 x per minute and without animations d) Add note that the digital message center shall dim down to 200 nits of light brightness from sunset until midnight shut off time e) Provide manufacturer specs on the digital message center f) Provide statement of compliance with FCC regulations for digital message center g) Provide method of dimming for the sign clearly on the plans (i.e. laser sensor, photocell, etc.) h) Indicate digital message center shall have same message display on each side and is a master / mirror unit only, not two separate units 5. IBC: A) Engineering for freestanding sign will be reviewed once the sign size has been corrected and associated engineering submitted for that sign structure. B) Call out the type of mounts and typical number of mounts for power supplies for each wall sign diagram C) Call out the assembly details for the freestanding sign, i.e. bolts/saddle, field welds (needs special inspection) footer size and pipe size, how components attached to the sign structure Resubmit plans on your portal under permit TS-PRM-1122-00025 and note that depending on responses, additional comments may be forthcoming. |
