Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Codes: Unified Development Code 7A, Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018. 1. UDC: A) a permit application document was missing from the set - staff emailed the applicant with a link B) sign setback and site plan sheet 12 are perfect, thank you! The sign is now out of easement and remains on site. Please remove sheet 11 to avoid confusion. 2. NEC / OLC: A) Add simple note to top sheet: all signs shall have UL, manufacturer and installer stickers on the side of the signs B) List the digital message center manufacturer and unit to ensure it dims to 200 NITS - provide a spec sheet for it C) The digital message center must be FCC compliance - add this note, it's usually on the manufacturer spec sheet (i.e. these can cause cellular communication disruptions, depending on their controls.) D) provide note that power to be run by others via separate permit 3) IBC A) field welds are shown on page 3 - which is fine. They just need a special inspection (where you hire private 3rd party to inspect before we final the permit) Please have your engineer fill out the special inspection form to appoint the qualified special inspector (has to have their name listed), have engineer stamp the form, and return the form to staff in the resubmittal. (Staff is emailing the form to the applicant.) Please upload the permit application, digital message center spec sheet for the chosen unit, the special inspection form and updated diagrams to TS-PRM-1122-00025.
