This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Additional comments may be provided in subsequent reviews. Code reference: Unified Development Code, Article 7A: Sign Standards, adopted Outdoor Lighting Code, adopted Building Code. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. Tami.Goltz@tucsonaz.gov or 520-837-5049. 1) This site is allowed 3 sq ft per linear foot of building frontage. The building frontage is 62. 62 x 3 = 186 sq ft of allowed sign area. You are proposing almost twice the amount of allowed square footage. Please reduce the amount of signage to meet code allowances. 2) Contractors are required to have an active City of Tucson business license. Please obtain a business license from the Business License Department and add the number to the application. 3) Sealed Engineering will be required to utilize the existing sign base for the freestanding sign. 4) The setback needs to be noted for the leading edge of the sign to the face of the curb on Grant Rd. The site plan also needs to show the SVTs for the entryway off of Grant Rd per section 5.1 Sight Visibility Triangles of the Uniform Development Code. 5) Location of disconnect switch on the freestanding signs must be shown on plans. 6) Update the Amperage on all signs as not all of the signs will pull the same amount of amperage. |
