This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Additional comments may be provided in subsequent reviews. Code reference: Unified Development Code, Article 7A: Sign Standards, adopted Outdoor Lighting Code, adopted Building Code.
1) Welding in the field requires a special inspection certificate. Please provide a special inspetion form for the welding called out on the plans.
2) ⅜" x 1- 1/2” all thread fastener will be insufficient as an anchor to hold the sign to the wall. Please provide a secure method of attachment. Consult an engineer for recommendation.
3) Minimum setback requirement for freestanding signs is 20’ from leading edge of sign to face of curb. Revise to meet setback requirements.
4) Include sight visibility triangles on site plan per section 5.1 of the UDC.
