Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC), 7A Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), Tucson- Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018
1. UDC:
A) 7A.11.13 and 7A.10.2.B – max cumulative sign area for apartment uses is 50 square feet
The sign panels provided show 28.4 square feet on each of 2 monument signs. This sign area exceeds the cumulative sign area allowance of 50 square feet. You may choose to either reduce each panel to 25 square feet per sign, or you may choose to process a master sign program (MSP) to request a sign area increase.
B) If you desire to process a MSP request, please provide color / night renderings showing the color of the metal panels and the light style for each the logo letter and the other text. (Appears these are different styles – acrylic, one may be push through letters, the other open channel internal halo?
C) And – provide building plans with labels for the surfaces on the signs and on the buildings (should use same materials).
D) Let staff know, and we’ll provide the MSP applications.

2. NEC:
A) The development team was checking on the final location for the breaker panel for the signs. Please do share on resubmittal, when available.
B) Appears these are different styles of lighting on the lettering for these panels – acrylic, one may be push through letters, the other open channel internal halo? Clarify?
