Status: all other files have been approved, please revise just the "updated plans" and resubmit those on the portal. Address the following for the permit record.

General:
1) UDC:

B) *Staff is attaching a copy in the portal for your convenience. * Understood establishment is to remove one existing sign here and replace with a new sign. Dimension the sign setback from face of street curb to leading edge of sign on the development package (provide 20’ minimum and behind lot line).
C) I acknowledge the actual sign area proposed for the wall signage and a freestanding sign will be within code allowances. The review comments forthcoming are for the permit record.
D) (Partially addressed) Add note for location of EXISTING multi-tenant panel freestanding sign to remain, as the new sign counts towards the total allowed number for the shopping center. (Staff sees dimension added from furthest east to furthest west – approx. 630 feet. This dimension shows 3 freestanding signs ok overall Broadway frontage for the center.)

2. NEC:
(Not addressed, add these notes to at least one sheet in set and state applicable for all signs)
a) add note “dedicated sign circuit shall be provided and labeled at the breaker panel”
b) add note “all signs shall be UL or equivalent and outdoor rated”
c) add note “all signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker on side of sign”
d) add note “for wall signs, safety lock out to be provided where shut off is not directly visible to the sign”
e) label the location of the shut off switch / disconnect for each sign directly on the plan
f) list volts, amps, and circuits for each sign and total circuits on application (staff sees it’s LED light)

3. OLC:
(Not addressed – add note to at least one sheet of plan set and state applicable all signs)
a. add note “a timer shall be provided to shut off each sign at midnight”,
b. add note each sign “maximum color temperature is 4400k” (CHECK & REVISE LIGHTS, 5100k exceeds allowance)
c. menu board – add note that digital board shall dim to 200 Nits from sunset to business closure by photocell or laser sensor (as a supplement to the timer for seasonal changes)

4. (Not addressed) Add General note: “digital sign to be FCC compliant”

5. IBC 2018:
a. (not addressed) wall signs - provide type /sizes / typical number of mounts for each sign, with type of wall for each mount
b. on engineered plans, staff will add a note that two saddle / bolt systems to be provided, and will mark mid way and top of sign
c. on engineered plans, if engineer insists on an inspection for compaction, it shall be an independent appointed 3rd party special inspector that shall be hired by and paid for by applicant. The City of Tucson does not provide this inspection.
d. Be reassured, it is alright for the general contractor team to menu sign footer and to pour concrete, understood anchor bolting provided and is sufficient, thank you.
e. Add note “detached drive thru signs are to be setback a minimum of 1 foot from face of curb to leading edge of the sign.”
