Sign anchors for signs over 30 ft above grade to include all types (concrete anchors, epoxy, thru-bolts etc) will require a special inspection 2. Please provide a special inspection certificate with Part A, and Part B completed with next submittal. Ensure to use Special Inspectors who are active in the approved list of special inspectors. These signs are above 30 feet from finish grade. b. Structural calculations on lateral forces affecting the signs installed. c. Wind w/ gust of 115 mph interacting with the sign surfaces. d. Specify the type of fasteners anchoring the signs to the wall. e. Ensure to identify the type of walls signs are anchored to on the drawing. f. Show the pull resistance provided by the proposed fastener used. g. Specify the number of fasteners used for each letter. 4. Please resubmit. Sign Drawings: 1) Signs over 30’ in overall height from grade to bottom of sign requires sealed engineering. 2) Provide a call out for what materials the wall is constructed of. 3) Show & specify the attachment method that is being used to hold the letters to the wall. 4) All dimensions must be FEET.DECIMAL - not FEET INCHES 5) Directional signs are limited to 4' in overall height. |
