UDC: A) Sign types and sign area is withing code, thank you. Minor notations needed for permit package. B) see notes added on page 4 of your plan set for the development frontage, allowed freestanding sign calculations and the notation to keep for the new freestanding sign (Taco Bell, low-profile sign). 2. NEC: /OLC: add the following notes to each sheet: A) Clarify on canopy sign where electrical is located, usually is a small power supply right behind the letters with a shut off switch associated. Diagram provides what appears to be a shut off switch for entirety of the lighting within the canopy. B) Building Official appeal case underway for request to increase NITS on LCD menu board from sunset to curfew, exceeding 200 NITS – suggesting 250 NITS in statement provided. Building Official appeal case is TC-BCA-1123-00025. 3) IBC: A) Canopy sign – provide mounting clarification (i.e. what is “letter support?” - add attachment note) B) Add anchor embedment depth range schedule to all wall sign attachment charts, depending on wall type C) Add note – all canopies are to be permitted under the building plan TC-COM-0123-00534 D) Special Inspections required for on site welds and high strength bolts for drive thru signs Once Building Official has reviewed the request, please resubmit on the portal with the updated notations on the plan set.
