UDC: A) historic minor review required - building is contributor on National Register and located in downtown B) the OCR-2 zone and pedestrian sign district of downtown allows the sign area is permitted as proposed for the location, pending historic review / approval C) projecting sign cannot swing - re-design so that the chain is either solidified design "chain" or on a bracket (notes illumination, unclear how that is accomplished with chain) D) a TRE exists for this block, staff will check on the status of it for sign use to aerially extend into right of way (TRE case 2013-026A) NEC: A) clarify if projecting sign is to be illuminated or not due to mounting OLC: No comments, thank you IBC: A) mounting for signage to this building will be reviewed by historic process, but please know that mounting to the wall will only be allowed via limited penetrations to the mortar B) historic review will ask for the size of the brick and width of the mortar between the bricks to ensure the mounting and wire path for the projecting sign is appropriate and will keep the brick intact (the Historic Preservation Officer has required this in the past for this location) C) provide very clear mounting details for this projecting sign D) update your mounting for the wall cabinet to match the wall / bracket system present with the window |
