2) UDC - The following aspects pertain to the nonconforming pole sign at the site.
A) Per UDC 7A.9.2.C. no nonconforming sign can be altered, removed or replaced unless brought into compliance with requirements of Sign Standards.

B) The sign can have a change of copy on it via permit, and be repaired to allow internal LED illumination in the cabinet - as it is the same occupancy class.

OR,

C) with redesign to add a base, architectural elements to match the building, cover the structural support with a design at a minimum of 18 x 6 inches, and clearly identify the middle and top component - an application may submitted to the Sign Design Review Committee review process for an SSDO to:

3. NEC:
A No comments, thank you!

4. OLC: -
A) No comments, thank you!

5. General Safety Note – please add to plan “digital order station is FCC compliant” (digital signs have been interrupting small cellular wireless signals, per FCC letter 2019, several were recalled, just add note and check your manufacturer spec again)

6. IBC:
A) Engineering will be reviewed for the canopy order station on resubmittal of the entire package, thank you. (It’s all submitted together as one package, and cannot be broken up digitally at this submittal process).

B) Recommend separating all other signs from this package from the pole sign inquiry you have, and proceeding with the other signs by direct permit process.

C) If you pursue option to alter the pole sign, note that detailed engineering PLAN would be needed with the CALCS provided, but - would be examined only should the application be approved (with a redsign to meet the SDRC review criteria)

Depending on revisions resubmitted, further review comments may be forthcoming.

I may be reached at Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov if you have any questions.

Please email me when you have resubmitted the main sign package, so I may pull the resubmittal faster.
