Codes: Unified Development Code (7A) Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018

1. UDC: I fully acknowledge the sign cabinetry replacement is allowed for this conforming monument sign, and will meet code, thank you.
To move forward for the permit record, please add the following items to the plan set:

A) add note: monument sign to remain at 20’ setback from face of street curb to leading edge of the sign
B) add note: digital sign shall change at a rate of 1 x permit minute, without animations
C) check cabinet dimensions / square footage notes on sheet 2

2. NEC:
A) show second shut off switch for sign cabinet, as noted is needed on your plan
B) add note: dedicated sign circuits shall be provided and labeled at the power panel (label existing)
C) add note: sign to have UL, manufacturer and installer stickers on it

3. OLC:
A) add standard note: timer shall shut sign off at midnight, and shall be shown at inspection
B) add note: max 4400k color temperature for all sign lighting components
C) add note clarifying how the digital unit will dim to 200 Nits from sunset to midnight curfew (i.e. usually photocell – call out location of it, please)

4. IBC:
A) add note: use existing sign footer / support system
B) add notes on attachment of cabinet to the existing support system (i.e. saddle / bolts – size & number and type)
C) add note how new pole cover affixed (.ie. rivets, etc.)
