1. UDC:
A) Nonconforming pole sign reinstallation - sign is a reasonable repair due to heavy storm damage incurred this year. Provide the photo from the storm salvaging the sign.
B) sign will be re-erected in same location and to still aerially overhang the property line in city right of way, and the Real Estate Division Administrator has authorized an interim Temporary Revocable Easement (TRE) to maintain a sign in the city right of way.
C) provide the vertical dimension from the bottom of the sign cabinet to the sidewalk below
D) provide the dimension from the face of curb to leading edge of cabinet
E) provide the property line location (staff assisting with right of way / paving plan review)
F) provide the distance from the pole to the sign cabinet – as it extends in an off-set manner

2. NEC:
A) clarify neon colors for the record
B) clarify neon to be repaired / replaced (same color)
C) call out the “spaghetti arm” fork that moves for the record
D) clarify whether any electrical repairs are needed to transformers, etc.
E) add a lock out box to either the sign cabinet or to the inside switch that controls the sign (there’s very scary history here on this sign with another contractor nearly being electrocuted, let’s remember – safety first)
F) add notation for any circuits to be replaced and label switches carefully
G) ID shut off switches for the sign, list volts, amps, circuits please

3. OLC: - No comments

4. IBC:
A) provide off set engineering for pole and bracket arm mount for the sign from ASA’s current package
B) provide detail as to how the sign will be remounted to this new pole and any high strength bolts or field welds needed
C) the footer size and pole size are listed for center pole mount, just be aware that may change with the off-set mount needed

Depending on revisions resubmitted, further review comments may be forthcoming.

I may be reached at Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov if you have any questions.

Email me as soon as you have a resubmittal so I can facilitate process quickly with Real Estate division. I will look for the paving plan for this site to find the property line location.

**Note – this reinstall will also require that SunLink / ROW use permit pulled for safety**
