COMMENTS:
1. The Signs Standard comment is requiring sealed engineering.
a. Please add to it the structural calculation and detail drawings done by a Structural Engineer licensed in the State of Arizona.
i. Please identify the wall that the sign is being mounted to such as masonry wall and size, stud wall with stucco, concrete, etc.
ii. Provide detail drawing as to how the sign is attached to the wall.
iii. Provide information on sizing the Drilled Pier or you may use the Sign Engineering Standards for the State of Arizona (submit your selected size).
i. Provide information on sizing the Pipe and its wall thickness or you may use the Sign Engineering Standards for the State of Arizona (submit your selected size).
ii. Provide detail drawing as to how the sign is attached to the steel pipe and illustrate where they occur and how often.
iii. Please have the engineer seal/sign/date all structural documents.

1. Provide disconnect per NEC art; 600.6. Where the disconnecting means is out of the line of sight from any section that is able to be energized, the disconnecting means shall be lockable in accordance with 110.25
2. Show all wiring methods in detail for all new branch circuit wiring and feeders. Conductor size/type and conduit size/type. Note wet use requirements. NEC arts; 600.5(D), 300 and 408.4.
3. Provide/note sign grounding and bonding per NEC art; 600.7.
4. Show or notate a dedicated sign circuit per NEC art 600.5.

1. Provide Sign Lighting Curfew Controls Per OLC section 501.6 &403.4 and note the curfew per Table 501.5.
2. Notate on the plans that all internally illuminated signs shall have a maximum color temperature of 4400K, per OLC 501.3.2. REF Sheet 3, Specification note #2.

06/04/2025 Signs Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT Application:
1) Fill in frontage and electrical circuit information.

Sign Drawings:
1) Add frontage amount (in this case the length of the building elevation that houses the main entrance).
2) This sign is located on a different property, not owned by Banner. We will need evidence affirming that the owner of the property is granting you permission to have your sign on their property. This can be done in a few ways. An easement can be created, or a ground lease or a covenant for use of real property can be obtained. Approval will not be granted on this sign until one of these forms of permission has been submitted with the sign package.
3) New freestanding signs require sealed engineering.
4) Add the number of AMPs this sign will pull when illuminated.
5) Add the following required verbiage exactly.
a. As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code the Internally illuminated sign as shown on this page does not exceed the 4400k color temp.
b. 24 hour programmable timer installed to comply with the COT Outdoor Lighting Code.
c. All signs and power supply components are UL listed.

All signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker, located on the exterior of the sign for inspections.

All dedicated sign circuits shall be labeled.

A safety lock out shall be provided for all signs where the shut off switch is not directly visible to the sign.
