Should the above not followed, it may delay your approval. COMMENTS: 1. Provide structural calculations and drawings generated by an Arizona licensed Structural Engineer. a. These signs are above 30 feet from finish grade. b. Structural calculations on lateral forces affecting the signs installed. i. Wind w/ gust of 115 mph interacting with the sign surfaces. ii. Specify the type of fasteners anchoring the signs to the wall. 1. Ensure to identify the type of walls signs are anchored to on the drawing. iii. Show the pull resistance provided by the proposed fastener used. iv. Specify the number of fasteners used for each letter. 2. Please provide a special inspection certificate with Part A, and Part B completed with next submittal. This form is available in https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/city-services/planning-development-services/documents/special_inspection_certificate.pdf Ensure that Part B is sealed/signed/dated by the special inspector in charge. Ensure to use Special Inspectors who are active in the approved list of special inspectors.
