Sign designation on application should match throughout drawings. 2) Sign Contractor information should be included on each page of sign package. Sign Drawings 1) Sign drawings show portray one sign per page and include attachment and electrical detail with amperage amount as well as elevation depiction of sign on elevation, sign area calculation and OAH from grade to top of sign. A sample drawing package is being emailed to contractor listed on project. Resubmit drawings as shown in the example package. 2) Address should be noted on every page of drawings. 3) All dimensions must be in feet.decimal- not feet/inches. 4) Projecting signs are not permitted at this site. Remove all blade signs from sign package. 5) Remove North Elevation page as it has no signage noted. 6) Electronic Message Centers/Displays require the following to be added to the drawings: No animation or scrolling allowed. Image must stay on screen for at least One (1) minute before changing As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code the Electronic Message Center as shown on this page automatically dims to 200 NITS or less from sunset to sunrise. The EMC can not interfere with FCC communications. We need the manufacture of the EMC to sit down and write a site specific letter to The City of Tucson that says the following... #1. Name of the manufacturer. #2. The EMC model number/name #3. [EMC Model #] is fully capable of lowering to 200 nits at night. #4. [EMC Model #] is FCC compliant. 7) Provide a call out for what materials the wall is made from, not the finish material. 8) Show & specify electric power disconnect switch. 9) Need section detail for electrical and mounting detail on each sign page. 10) Each sign should have it's own page, with elevation rendering, mounting and electrical detail and typical call outs as shown below. All signs and power supply components are UL listed. All signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker, located on the exterior of the sign for inspections. All dedicated sign circuits shall be labeled. A safety lock out shall be provided for all signs where the shut off switch is not directly visible to the sign. As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code the internally illuminated sign as shown on this page does not exceed the 4400k color temp. 24 hour programmable timer installed to comply with the COT Outdoor Lighting Code 11) Remove freestanding parking lot signs as no permit will be required for these signs. 12) Sealed Engineering with footing detail information is required for all new freestanding signs. 13) Is QT pole sign on QT's property or McDonald's? Site Plan: 1) Need COT approved site plan with detail of setback information for freestanding sign placement and sight visibility triangles. This should be the last page of the sign package. |
