Codes: Unified Development Code 7A, Sign Standards, National Electrical Code 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018.
1. UDC:
A. Provide top or side view of the sign, dimensioned to show thickness
B. Amend sign area to 56 square feet (boxing cabinet + boxing raised lettering at the bottom).
C. Please amend note, the sign is a monument sign, not pole sign.
D. Amend all sheets for sign area to match at 7.7’ long rather than 8’10” long cabinet.
E. Staff is consulting design professional for use of template for existing master sign program MSP-22-02 / T22SA00048 for monument sign area increase, up to 60 square feet, on this sign, as it is styled the same architecturally, but has a digital component.
F. With the additional information provided, Zoning Administrator to review location week of June 6th. Provide subdivision plat map of the vicinity identifying the school lot.
G. Add note “ digital unit will not animate” (I see note change rate is 1 x per minute, thx)

2. NEC:
A. Clarify on diagram whether LED lights in static sign area actually continue down on sides of where the digital message is framed by white border.
B. Indicate where sign circuit will be located (i.e. power box?) for inspections

3. OLC:
A: Indicate location of timer for inspections

B: provide spec sheet from digital EMC manufacturer identifying the unit, stating it is one unit with a master / mirror presentation rather than independent displays both sides.

C: manufacturer spec sheet to state unit is capable of dimming to 200Nits from sunset to midnight curfew, and how it is to be done (i.e. photocell, timer dependent, etc.)

D: manufacturer unit spec to indicate unit is compliant with Federal Communication Commission regulations (i.e. recent reports were sent out notifying of certain digital signs interfering with cellular communications).

E: add note that digital display has a remote communication control

4. IBC:
A: Add note “see approved engineered base and mount system sealed by Paul Seppala, P.E.”
