Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Codes: Unified Development Code 7A Sign Standards, National Electrical Code 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code 2018 (IBC). 1. UDC - no comments, thank you. All signage is allowed as shown in the plan set. Minor items below are requested for the permit record. 2. NEC: A) please provide amps pulled per sign, and check the number for the monument, thank you B) please just add a clarifying note on each sign elevation sheet that the disconnect switch is contained within a lock out box C) can you please triple check with the engineered construction sheets for accurate shut off switch location for the monument, as it's shown inside it - it may be, (unusual) but if so, please just add a note then kindly calling out service opening for the sign structure. D) can you kindly add a note to each sign elevation sheet that a weep hole is provided for each sign? (It's buried in the engineering sheets.) 3) OLC - no comments, thank you. 4) IBC - A) please have your engineer re-seal documents with 2018 IBC noted rather than 2015, and kindly just check the data to see if there's any different requirements. B) Thank you very much for the 115 mph wind load for the replacement monument, very wise, appreciated. C) please just add a note on sheet 4 of the sign elevation plans to see the engineering sheets for the construction details and assembly details (i.e. saddle / bolts / pipe system in existence, engineered to verify re-use of the support system for the replacement cabinet) Please email me when your resubmittal is uploaded, and I'll pull the revision faster, thank you (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) |
