Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed by Tami Goltz. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Additional comments may be provided in subsequent reviews. Code reference: Unified Development Code, Article 7A: Sign Standards, adopted Outdoor Lighting Code, adopted Building Code. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. Tami.Goltz@tucsonaz.gov or 520-837-5049. 1. This site is in a scenic corridor and is limited to 1.25 sq ft per lf of frontage. The supplied frontage of 88 lf, would only allow 110 sq ft of sign area (1.25 x 88= 110). The proposed square footage is 130.7 (not including clearance bar and menu board as those don’t count against square footage), which is 20.7 sq ft more than what is allowed by code. Please reduce the square footage of the signs to meet the code requirements of Section 7A.11.3 of the sign code. 2. We need the manufacture of the EMC to write a letter to The City of Tucson that says the following... ⦁ Name of the manufacturer. ⦁ The EMC model number/name ⦁ [EMC Model #] is fully capable of lowering to 200 nits at night. ⦁ EMC Model #] is FCC compliant. |
