03/21/2024 | Signs | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | RE: freestanding sign review For: 1301 W Ajo Way / monument sign - Jiffy Lube Sign permit: TS-PRM-0324-00102 Date: 3/21/24 Reviewer: H. Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC 7A), National Electrical Code (NEC 600), Tucson Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code (IBC) 2018: 1. I acknowledge the location may have a freestanding sign, sufficient street frontage exists and that the sign meets the design criteria and technical codes, as shown on the plans. 2. The location of the sign is of concern. The sign must be on private property, as this is Ajo Way, it is a STATE route. Nothing is permitted in their right of way. The distance from the face of the street curb of Ajo Way to the lot line is 35 feet. (See plan staff attached for your reference to this permit.) Provide a scaled location showing that the sign will be back far enough to be on private property and will not interfere with the parking nor driveway. 3. NEC 600 - A) Add note that the power to the sign will be provided by others via separate building permit. Revise location and resubmit. Please email me if you have questions. |
