Codes applicable to signage include: Unified Development Code (UDC, 7A, Sign Standards), National Electrical Code (NEC), Tucson - Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC)

1. UDC:
A) match all signs in the plan set to correspond to the permit application (i.e. A – K, etc.)
B) list total sign area for each sign on the diagrams and be sure to dimension them in decimal feet (i.e. 5 x 5 = 25 square feet)

2) NEC / OLC
A) digital menu sign: list max color temp, must dim to 200 nits at sunset to curfew, add notes as to how dimming done
B) digital menu sign must be FCC compliant - provide manufacturer spec
C) the standard volts, amps, shut off are missing from directional signs
D) directional signs – add color temp and LED notes
E) monument has 6500k color temp listed in the electrical data chart, but notes state otherwise – exceeds 4400k allowed – revise
F) menu boards do not have volts, amps, circuit and color temp listed (this appears different set)
G) per prior review: add these standard notes to the plan set… All signs shall be UL or MET rated, All signs shall have UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker placed on the cabinet, All signs shall shut off at midnight for non-24/7 operations; dedicated sign circuit(s) will be provided and clearly labeled on the power panel; a safety lock out shall be provided where disconnect is not immediately visible to the sign

3) IBC -
