Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed by Tami Goltz. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Additional comments may be provided in subsequent reviews. Tami.Goltz@tucsonaz.gov or 520-837-5049. 1) Sign drawings need to show the length of the frontage in the form of a line the measures out the frontage on the building. Frontage is only calculated on elevations that face a street. Frontage for this site is measured on the south elevation only for this site, which is noted as being 22’. Sign code permits 3 sq ft per lf of frontage. 3 x 22 = 66 sq ft. This site is proposing 82.37 sq ft of sign area. Please reduce overall signage to meet the allowed square footage. 2) Please note the removal of the existing sign on the elevation photos. 3) Overall height dimension is missing from the elevation photos. OAH should be measured from grade to top of sign. 4) The sign detail calls the wall construction out as being plywood and sutcco, but the photos show what looks like a wood paneling fascia. Please clarify. 5) Sign detail needs to call out specific fasteners for the attachment of the sign to the wall. Please include the type, size and number of fasteners/anchors being used. 6) Site plan must have a North arrow and labels on all adjacent roadways. 7) Sign applications are no longer required to be submitted with the drawings. You can remove this page from the submittal. Most of the information did not translate on it anyway. 8) Your City of Tucson business license is not current. Please reach out to the business license department at license@tucsonaz.gov or 520-791-4566 to renew your license. The permit will not be issued until this is complete. |
